As you know I’m a fan of Strictly Come Dancing, especially the male professionals who set the tone for how fashion conscious men ought to dress. I make a point of keeping a close eye on what they are wearing (strictly for professional reasons in my role as personal shopper and fashion adviser!) and I must say that this week Anton du Beke was wearing the most exquisite designer tie as he walked into the BBC building.
Anton always looks perfectly groomed (though I’ve not seen him on the silly game show he’s in now – the things people will do for money!) and his taste in ties is perfection itself.
I knew what it was straight away as I’d seen the very same tie in a Paul Smith collection of designer ties a few weeks ago while doing research for the autumn season. But it’s always worth pointing out that if designer ties aren’t for you, the style conscious man can achieve the same effect and be kinder to his credit card by selecting one of the many other top quality pure silk ties that are fresh out for this season.
Quality will out, as my old gran used to say, and never so much as in a well made pure silk tie.

p.s. I was reading that Anton’s real name is Tony Beeks but he changed it. Well personally I don’t find anything wrong with Tony Beeks, but since I’ve always known him as Anton du Beke, then Anton du Beke he will stay!
