T shirt sales in my shop go down through the floor at this time of year. It happens every year for two reasons:
1- it’s freezing, obviously, so people don’t wear t shirts - they’re thinking of jumpers, coats and fleeces instead.
2 - it’s party season, not casual seasons. Men are looking for smart, festive shirts, instead of casual t shirts
Despite this fall in demand, I think this time of year is a great time to pick up nice retro t shirts, especially because the stores are getting rid of summer stock in the seasonal sales.

A retro t shirt under your sweater or shirt will keep you warm, and provide a bit of extra edge to your wardrobe. It’s like wearing a vest to keep you all toasty and warm, but as anyone with any knowledge of men’s fashion knows, no one wears a vest any more. A good t shirt is a nice way to stay warm without the perils of wearing an unfashionable vest. And because a retro t shirt is a cool piece of clothing in itself, if you end up somewhere hot you can whip your sweater off and reveal a bit of retro coolness.
It’s not rocket science to layer your clothes at this time of year, but hiding a retro t shirt under your other layers is a great combination
