Why oh why do people keep asking me this? If you have to ask, it means you should wear your shirt tucked in as you’ll look and feel like a prat with it out.

Men’s fashion trends change all the time – just like fashion trends for us girls – and some guys are comfortable keeping up, while others struggle along trying to look cool and never quite making it.

In the eighties when I was at school I remember a men’s fashion trend for wearing jackets with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows. George Michael could get away with it (though I’m not so sure about his dodgy sweaters) but the kids in my class who strutted around with sleeves pushed back just looked daft. It’s the same with shirts out.

But shirts in or out, the quality and 100% cotton shirt rule applies. Formal shirt, casual shirt, polo shirt – they all have to be top quality or you’ll look just like somebody in a cheap shirt.

So if you’re already wearing your shirts outside, well done guys. You’re right up there when it comes to men’s style.
If you’re wearing your shirts inside, then keep them there. Just read ‘His fashion eye’ daily and we’ll give you the men’s fashion tips that will keep you on the right road.

And before you ask, yes Dan does sometimes wear his shirts out. But then you’d expect that, wouldn’t you?
