Which self-respecting man doesn’t have a collection of good old white t shirts? I know I have, and I wouldn’t be without them.
Everybody has them, and the white t shirt is the workhorse of the men’s fashion clothing scene, serving as they do for everything from underwear when it’s cold, to throw-on for getting dressed and out of the house in a hurry, to fashion accessory for that ultra-cool, never-a-care look when dressing down is de rigueur.
You’d be surprised how many men come to my store for a white t shirt or three, and are very particular when it comes to what they want. Pure cotton is always popular for its comfort, fit and wearability, as well as shrink-resistance and its amazing ability to survive wash after wash.
But other materials are equally preferred by some discerning men, with Tactel being a favourite. The sportsmen among my clientèle know Tactel from its use in running vests and sports shirts, but its feel, facility for keeping its shape, breathability and wicking properties make it a popular choice for white t shirts - though of course it is available in many lustrous colours as well as pure white.
